Estelle Blackwell Aiken

Chester, SC; Estelle Blackwell Aiken, 91, died Friday, November 22, 2019 at MUSC-Chester Nursing Center. A graveside will be held 11:00 AM Monday, November 25, 2019 at Chester Memorial Gardens with Reverend Michael Shaffer officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. Mrs. Aiken was born inOconee County, SCon March 17,1928and was a daughter of the late Reese John Blackwell and Golda (Capps) Blackwell.She attended the schools of Chester County and was retired from Springs Industries as a Battery Filler having worked both at the Gayle and Katherine plants . She also worked as a caregiver with Senior Services. Estelle was a member of St. Pauls Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Murphy Aiken, her son Jimmy Aiken, her brother Ernest Blackwell and her sister, Eunice Foster. Estelle is survived by two Granddaughters, Kaysie Aiken(Travis) and Joy Johnson; two great-grandchildren, Kason Maloney and Preston Kirby; a brother, Johnny Blackwell and a sister, Geneva Dalton all of Chester, SC.
