Chester Mrs. Essie Hedgepath Garner, 85, died Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at her home.The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. John Porter officiating.Interment will follow in Chester Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, October 14, 2011 at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC. Mrs. Garner was born in Clinton, SC on February 28, 1926 and was a daughter of the late John Hedgepath and Lula Puckett Hedgepath.She was a graduate of Clinton High School and a member of First Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by her husband, Wilson Garner, Jr.; two sons, Freddie Garner of Chester and Randy Garner and wife Brenda of Greer; one daughter, Sandra Garner Bush of Chester; six grandchildren, Tammy Garner, Angela Barber, Roxanne Hullender, Anthony Garner. David Knox, and Joey Knox; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Maxie Hedgepath and wife Linda of Fletcher, NC; two sisters, Lessie Donavan of Aiken and Shirley Bannister of Clinton.She was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Garner Everson.
