Ernest Boyd Mobley

Chester, SC: Ernest Boyd Mobley, 87, died Friday, December 30, 2011 at his home. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening January 3, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM for a time of reflection. Interment will be private. Mr. Mobley was born on September 3, 1924. He was a son of the late Floyd Boyd Mobley and Annie McKeown Mobley. He attended the schools of Chester County, was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II and was retired from Springs Industries as a spooler fixer. Mr. Mobley is survived by his wife of sixty years, Dorothy Dawkins Mobley; one daughter, Tammy Mobley Horn and her husband Randy and one grandson, Matthew Horn all of Chester, SC and one sister, Geneva King of Clinton, SC and several nieces and nephews.Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 173 Columbia Street, Chester, SC 29706.Online condolences may be made to the family at www.barronfuneralhome.com.
