Mr. Ernest Garland, 84, died Thursday, April 08, 2010 at his residence.A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, April 10th at Chester Memorial Gardens with Rev. James M. Sanders officiating. Born July 29, 1925 in Clifton, SC, Mr. Garland was a son of the late George M. and Willie Morrow Garland. He served in WWII during the Battle of the Bulge 1943-44.He was retired with thirty-five years of service from Springs Industries. He is survived by two brothers, Habern Garland and Edward Garland both of Chester and a number of neices and nephews. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside.
