BLACKSTOCK, SC: Ms. Emily Ann Boyd, 63, died Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Providence Hospital in Columbia, SC.The funeral service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church with Rev. James Wilkerson officiating.The interment will follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Friday, June 10, 2016 at Barron Funeral Home. Born July 5, 1952 in Chester, SC, Ann was a daughter of the late William White Boyd and Bobbie Uzella Yongue Boyd.She was a graduate of Great Falls High School and attended Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold, Maryland.She retired from Domtar in Fort Mill, SC and also worked with Sequa Chemicals for several years. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church.Ann was a friend to all and enjoyed helping others.She had a love for animals and looked forward to giving strays a home.She loved her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters, Amber Joy Evans-Martinez of Fort Mill, SC and Robin Faith Evans of Columbia, SC; two sons, Dr. Daniel Joshua Evans of Charlotte, NC and James Alexander Evans and his wife Hannah of McConnells, SC; one sister, Billie Jean Boyd Byard of Annapolis, Maryland; three grandchildren, Chandler Nicholas Turner of McConnells, SC, Arelia Eve Martinez of Fort Mill, SC and Hailee Ryann Evans of McConnells, SC and a nephew Steven Dolen of Branchburg, NJ.She was preceded in death by a son Michael Christian Evans and numerous beloved animals.
