CHESTER:Eloise Kee Wessinger, 86, died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Chester Regional Nursing Center. She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00p.m. Friday, March 6, 2009 at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street in Chester, SC with Rev. Joanne Lockhard-Hawkins officiating.Interment will follow at Chester Memorial Gardens, 945 West End Road, Chester, SC. Born in Gastonia, North Carolina on February 14, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Lillie Wooten Kee.She was the wife of the late David C. Wessinger.A kind and gentle person, she was guided by a giving spirit and an immeasurable love for her family and our Lord Jesus Christ. Surviving are two daughters, Judy Wessinger and Mazie Brantley and her husband, Charles; one son, William Wessinger; one grandson, Charles Brantley, Jr. and his wife Rochelle; two great grandchildren, David and Jessica Brantley, all of Chester, SC; two sisters, Virginia Kee of North Charleston, SC and Beulah Haselden of Mount Pleasant, SC; and one brother, Jesse Kee of Winnsboro, SC.Also surviving are her extended family, sister-in-law Nannie Wyatt and two brothers-in-law, Henry Wessinger and his wife Shirley, and George Wessinger and his wife Sybil, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Hazel Bolick, Bertha Wallace, and Nolie Inmon. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. Friday prior to the service and other times at 877 Redwood Lane, Chester, SC.
