Kershaw Ms. Ellen Gene “Carolyn” DuBose, 71, died Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at her home.A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, December 14, 2018, at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Devinney officiating.Interment will be private.The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM Friday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC. Ms. DuBose was born March 17, 1947 in Greeleyville, SC and was a daughter of the late Robert Lee DuBose and Lena Wise DuBose.She was a graduate of Chester High School and attended York Tech.Carolyn was formerly employed with Chester Sportswear and Springs Industries.She was also an insurance salesperson and most recently General Manager at the Executive Inn in Kershaw. She is survived by one son, Philip DuBose of Kershaw; two daughters, Tisa DuBose Mullis (Chris) of Edgemoor and Jessie Wright (Charlie) of Kershaw; ten grandchildren; one great granddaughter;, two brothers, Bill DuBose of Rock Hill and Johnny DuBose of Chester; three sisters, Janice Gregory and Gwen Hart of Chester and Shirley Robinson of Richburg.She was preceded in death by two sisters, Shelby Kinsey and Judy Miller; and two brothers, Rover DuBose and Jim DuBose.
