BLACKSTOCK: Mrs. Elizabeth Lee Wagers, 84, of 2747 Wagers Road died Monday, September 7, 2009 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Woodward Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Dale Roddey and Mr. Tim Foster officiating. A native of Blackstock, SC, Mrs. Wagers was a daughter of the late William T. Lee and Marie Hollis Lee. She was a graduate of Blackstock High School and Bowen Business College. Mrs. Wagers was a retired bookkeeper having worked with Kraft Food Company and Chrysler/Plymouth of Chester, SC. She was also a sales consultant for Avon for over twenty years. Mrs. Wagers was a member of Cornwell Presbyterian Church and a former member of Woodward Baptist Church for over twenty-five years where she was church clerk and Sunday School teacher. She was also a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts. Surviving her is her Husband of 62 years, James C. Wagers, Sr.,two sons, James C.?Jimmy? Wagers, Jr. and his wife Debra of Blackstock, SC and Dr. William L. Wagers and his wife Brenda of Camden, SC, three sisters, Ruth L. Roberts and Mary Alice L. McKeown both of Columbia, SC and Betty L. Traylor of Macon, GA, two brothers, Ret Col H.W. Dinkins of Columbia, SC and Colvin lee of Atlanta, GA , five grandchildren, James C. Wagers, lll, Jill M. Wagers, Lauren Wagers, Megan Wagers and Blake Wagers. Mrs. Wagers was preceded in death by one sister, Sadie D. Cassells and two brothers, William Lee and Joe Lee. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PMWednesday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street , Chester, SC 29706.
