Elizabeth Virginia Smith

CHESTER:Elizabeth Virginia Segrest Smith, 91, passed peacefully into Heaven on Thursday April 9, 2009 at Chester Regional Nursing Center. She was welcomed by her beloved husband, the late Lucian W. Smith. A native of Mississippi, Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the late Bert and Henrietta Segrest. She is survived by her brother, Bert M. Segrest, Jr. and his wife, Delores of Brookhaven, MS.; her 2 sons, Marvin Smith and his wife Ann of Grove OK, Mack Smith and his wife Evette of Monroe, LA ; her daughter Glenda Owens and her husband Don of Chester, SC ; and 7 grandchildren and9great grandchildren. A service to celebrate the life of Elizabeth Smith will be held at Parkway Baptist Church on Thursday April 16, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service.
