Mrs. Elizabeth Gayle Adams Darby, 59, died Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Hospice and Community Care in Rock Hill, SC.The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January13, 2011 at Zion Presbyterian Church with Reverend Al Ward officiating.The interment will be in Zion Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 6:00 ? 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street, Chester. Born June 10, 1951 in Fort Mill, SC, Mrs. Darby was a daughter of the late Lonnie Gilbert Adams and Alice Louise Thomas Adams.She was graduate of Fort Mill High School and a member of Zion Presbyterian Church.She had most recently worked as a leasing agent for Albright Realty and previously as a legal secretary for Judge Robert L. McFadden. She is survived by her husband Ed Darby; two daughters, Melinda Darby Abercrombie and her husband Jamey of Lowrys and Beth Darby of Lowrys; one son, Tommy Darby and his wife Jessica of Lowrys; five grandchildren, Claire, Sophie, Jax, Riley and Houston; three sisters, Linda Campbell of Fort Mill, SC, Nancy Terlinde and Lisa Adams both of Rock Hill, SC.She was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy Adams and Richard Adams and a sister Carolyn Fite.
