Edward Alonzo "Al" Zeigler

Chester, SC: Mr. Edward Alonzo “Al” Zeigler, 83, died Friday, December 15, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.The family will receive friends anytime at the home.A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, December 18, 2017 at Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian, 4619 Mt. Pleasant Church Road, Chester with Rev. Al Ward and Rev. Justin Ford officiating.The interment will be in Zion Cemetery, Lowrys, SC. Born December 25, 1933 in Estill, SC, Mr. Zeigler was a son of the late James Herman and Hilda Taylor Zeigler.He was a graduate of Estill High School and Draughon’s Business College.Mr. Zeigler was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and also the U.S. Marines having served during the Korean War.He was retired from Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC and was a member of Zion Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife of over thirty-eight years, Cindy Tino Zeigler; one daughter, Jane Zeigler Stephenson and her husband Joe of Lowry’s, SC; one son, Forest Herman Zeigler and his wife Lynn of Chester, SC; three grandchildren, Keely Stephenson of Lowrys, Sarah Grace Zeigler and Elliot Zeigler both of Chester; one brother, James Zeigler of Columbia, SC and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sarah Kathryn Zeigler and one sister, Betty Zeigler Rowe.
