Chester Mr. Edward Howe Gregory, Sr., 70, died Tuesday, March 3, 2020, in Rock Hill.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, March 6, 2020, at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Black and Rev. David Sealy officiating.Interment will follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Friday at Calvary Baptist Church, 610 Calvary Church Rd., Chester, SC. Mr. Gregory was born December 19, 1949, in Chester, SC and was a son of the late Benjamin H. Gregory, Jr. and Alma Varnadore Gregory.He was a graduate of Chester High School Class of 1967 and attended Clemson University.He was an avid Clemson fan.Mr. Gregory was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam from May 1970 – May 1971.He was retired from Springs Industries as an electrician.Mr. Gregory was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed cooking on the grill. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Gail R. Gregory; two sons, Edward Howe Gregory, Jr. (Christine)and Tracy Benjamin Gregory (Ann Marie) both of Chester; three grandchildren, Alexis Marie Gregory, Layne Benjamin Gregory and Nicholas Elliot Gregory all of Chester; one sister, Becky Thompson (Earl) of Chester; and several nieces and nephews.
