Chester: Edna Hendrix Gibson, 75, died Saturday, November 26, 2011,at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, SC.A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM,Monday, November 28, 2011,at First Church of the Nazarene with Reverend John Porter and Reverend Bayliss Adimaro officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 27, 2011 from 7:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barron Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Philippi Baptist Church Cemetery in Union, SC.Mrs. Gibson was born in Chester, SC on June 27, 1936,a daughter of the late Robert Howard Hendrix and Etta Wright Hendrix. She was a graduate of Chester High School, a member of the First Church of the Nazarene where she was a former Sunday School Teacher. She was retired from Springs Industries as a Spinner.Mrs. Gibson was the widow of Jim Gibson and a beloved sister and aunt.She is survived by two sisters, Fay Mobley and Theo Stroud both of Chester, SC and several nieces and nephews.
