Mrs. Edith Benson Scoggins, 76, died Sunday, August 29, 2010 at Carolina Specialty Hospital in Charlotte. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. CE Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Chester Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M ? 9:00 P.M. Tuesday August 31, 2010 at Barron Funeral Home. Born March 26, 1934 in Chester, Mrs. Scoggins was a daughter of the late Robert H. Benson and Mary Lemons Benson. She attended the schools of Chester County and was a member of the First Church of The Nazarene. She is Survived by two daughters, Betty Taylor and husband Terry of Carlisle, Debra McMurray and husband Mike of Chester; two grandchildren Michael McMurray of Chester and Chasity McMurray of Winfield, PA; and five Great-Grandchildren.
