CHESTER: Mrs. Edith White McLendon, 95, died Friday, December 27, 2013 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC.The funeral will be 3:00 PM Sunday,December 29, 2013 at West Side Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Fowler officiating.The interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. – 2:45 p.m. Sunday at West Side Baptist Church. Born October 28, 1918 in Chester, SC, Mrs. McLendon was the daughter of the late James H. White and Annie Day White.She was a graduate of Chester High School and retired from O’Brian Brothers in Chicago, IL as a designer and a member of West Side Baptist Church. Mrs. McLendon is survived by one sister, Harriett W. Dover of Chester, SC and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
