Earl K. "Ken" Bair, Jr., 75, passed away Friday, October 2, 2026, after several years of poor health. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 8, 2026 at the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Cordova, SC with Rev. Michael Shaffer officiating.


Ken was born December 8, 1950 and was a son of the late Earl Bair, Sr. and Rose Lin Smoak Bair. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Mount Pleasant. He was a former member of Sullivan's Island Baptist Church, Charleston Heights Baptist Church and Trident Baptist Church. He also taught Sunday School at Windwood Farms for six years. Ken served in the above churches as Deacon, Bus Director over a very large bus ministry and Children's Church Services. He also served as a layman associate pastor. Ken served beside the military as a civil service electrician for 32 years at the Charleston Naval Shipyard and at Fort Jackson, SC.


Ken loved very deeply his God and Savior, his family and his country.


He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; his eldest son, Joshua (Jodie); daughter, Anna Bair; and his youngest son, Joseph (Christine); three grandchildren, Jacob Mizzell, Noah Zett and Maddie Bair; his brother, Daniel T. Bair of Lake Junaluska, NC; and a nephew, David T. Bair of Atlanta. GA.
