Anderson: Dorothy Dell Weaver, 78, died Friday, August 26, 2011 at her home. A funeral service will be 3:00 PM Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Bridge of Hope Community Church, 125 New Prospect Church Road, Anderson, SC 29626 with Reverend Mark Griffith officiating. The families will receive friends Sunday, August 28, 2011 at the church prior to the service from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM.Interment will be held 2:00 PM Monday, August 29, 2011 in Evergreen Cemetery, Chester, SC. Mrs. Weaver was born in Chester, SC on December 10, 1932 a daughter of the late Johnny Gaston Weaver, Sr and Abigail Dell Grant Weaver. She attended the schools of Chester County and was retired from Southside Abbney Mills as a weaver. She previously worked with Springs Industries in Chester, SC.After her retirement she worked with her husband at Smiley?s Car Wash. Mrs. Weaver was a member of Orrville Baptist Church and enjoyed gospel and country music. She is survived by one daughter, Gloria Ann Weaver Neely and her husband, Ricky; two sons, Arthur Lee Weaver, Jr. and his wife, Lynn and Malcolm M. Weaver all of Anderson, SC; five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Johnny G. Weaver, Jr. of Chester, SC and Jimmy Weaver of Great Falls, SC and one sister, Rosie W. Austin of Chester, SC.
