Dorothy Ann Tennant Taylor

CHESTER, SC: Mrs. Dorothy Ann Tennant Taylor, 79, died Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Piedmont Medical Center. The funeral will be 11:00 AM Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Chester Freedom Ministries with Rev. Kevin Taylor, Rev. Steve Bishop and Rev. Demorrious Robinson officiating.The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 am Saturday at Chester Freedom Ministries. The interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Born July 15, 1940 in Chester County, SC, Mrs. Taylor was a daughter of the late Francis Calvin Tennant and Dora Jackson Bankhead Tennant.She was a graduate of Chester High School and a homemaker. She was a member of Ember Church and had previously taught Sunday School. In addition to her parentsshe was preceded in death by her brother James Henry Orr Tennant and her sister Frances Tennant. She is survived by her husband of over sixty-two years Lucius Taylor; a son, Kevin Taylor (Brantly) of Chester; two daughters, Debra T. Powers(Dwayne) and Tammy Stubblefield(Lee) both of Chester, SC; three sisters, Carolyn Oliver of Chester, Susan Blue of Rock Hill, SC and Mary Jarvis of Troutville, VA; two grandchildren, Laura Pressley and Caden Taylor both of Chester; two great grandchildren, Joe Pressley and Breleigh Pressley both of Chester.
