CHESTER, S.C. – Mrs. Dorothy Bennett “Dot”Price died Monday, March 28, 2016 at Chester Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chester Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church with Dr. Dwight L. Pearson and Rev. Clint Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Old Purity Cemetery. The family will receive friendsfrom 10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the Chester Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church and all other times at the home, 798 Skyline Drive, Chester, S.C. Mrs. Price, 94, was born on December 9, 1921 and was the daughter of the late John Lawrence and Daisy Robinson Bennett. She was married to Dock H. Price on March 23, 1958 and they just celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary. She was a member of Chester Associate Reformed Church for more than 85 years. Mrs. Price was a graduate of Chester High School and was a piece goods manager at Belk prior to the birth of her daughters after which she was a homemaker. She was instrumental in the creation of the Brownie Troop #148 at Chester A.R.P. Church and while a leader she wrote a play which was used for years in Girl Scouting. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Gina Price White and her husband Russ; Glinda Price Coleman and her husband Scott; and two granddaughters Anne Coleman and Laura Coleman, all of Chester. She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert Wylie Bennett and William Robinson Bennett. Memorials may be made to Chester Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 174, Chester, S.C. 29706.
