Chester Mrs. Dorothy Womack Odell, 90, died Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Magnolia Manor in Inman, SC.A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Weaver officiating.The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Barron Funeral Home.Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Born January 13, 1927, Mrs. Odell was a daughter of the late Roland Womack and Margaret Cantrell Womack.She was a graduate of Chester High School and retired from Chester Sportswear as an Inspector and was a former resident of Chester Regional Nursing Center.Mrs. Odell was the oldest charter member of Parkway Baptist Church where she was a part of Forever Young and #2 Sunday School class and also taught preschool Sunday School for over 20 years.She was chosen Mother of the Year at Parkway Baptist Church in 1990.Mrs. Odell was also a member of Clemson Extension “This & That Club” in Chester. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 42 years, William “Bill” Odell and her son Ronald Odell.Mrs. Odell is survived by one daughter, Gail Odell of Spartanburg, SC; one granddaughter, Katie Odell of Chester, SC; one grandson, Richie Odell (Stephanie) of Chester, SC; Kris Grant (Veronica) whom she loved as her grandson; three great grandsons, Nikolos Odell, Tyler Odell, and Tucker Odell all of Chester, SC; Sarah Jayne Grant whom she loved as her great granddaughter.
