Dorothy Christine Jourdan Gheen

Mrs. Dorothy Christine Jourdan Gheen, 89, died Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 2, 2022 at Saluda Street Church of God with Pastor Clint Starnes, Rev. Eric Partain and Mr. Dan McCraven officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Friday, December 2, 2022 in the Sanctuary of Saluda Street Church of God. Mrs. Gheen was born August 20, 1933 in Chester County, SC and was a daughter of the late William Washington Jourdan and Carrie Lee Doster Jourdan. She attended the schools of Chester County and was retired from Springs Industries Eureka Plant. Dot’s hobby was arranging flowers for all occasions. She was a member of Saluda Street Church of God where she served for over 50 years as a dedicated servant. She is survived by one son Randy Lee Gheen of Chester, SC; one grandson, Randy Mason Gheen (Christy) of York, SC; two great-grandchildren, Macy Gheen and Skylar Gheen of Chester, SC; one great-great Grandson, Cashton Mathis of Chester , SC; one sister, Irene Jourdan McKeown of Chester, SC; one brother, Eugene Wallace Jourdan (Jean) of Summerville, SC and numerous nieces and nephews; In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 65 years, Herbert Ambrose Gheen and her son Herbert Michael Gheen, her brothers, William Lee Jourdan and Ernest Leonard Jourdan and one sister, Lucille Jourdan Hope.
