CHESTER Mrs. Dorothy Jean Cole Gheen, 80, died Monday, April 23, 2012 at the home of her niece Sheila McAbee.The funeral service will be 12:00 Noon Thursday, April 26, 2012 at the Saluda Street Church of God with Rev. Gerald Funderburk and Rev. Jimmie Cox officiating.The interment will be in Chester Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 11:00 ? 11:45 at the Saluda Street Church of God. Born July 20, 1931 in Converse, SC, Mrs Gheen was the daughter of the late Samuel M. Cole and Elva Garland Mullinax.She was a graduate of Chester High School and retired from Springs IndustriesEureka Plant as a battery filler.She was a member of the Saluda Street Church of God and the widow of Charles Frederick Gheen. She is survived by three brothers, Roy Lee Cole of Pelzer, SC, John Mullinax of Winston Salem, NC and Dean Mullinax of Duncan, SC andher niece and caregiver Sheila McAbee and her husband Mike of Chester and severalother nieces and nephews.
