Dorothy Eckert Clyde

Mrs. Dorothy Eckert Clyde, 85, died Sunday, December 17, 2023 at White Oak Manor in Rock Hill, SC. Services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 21, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Chester, SC with Father Aqustin Guzman officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church. Mrs. Clyde was born August 15, 1938 in Long Island, NY and was a graduate of Babylon High School in Long Island, NY. She was retired from The Patchogue School District. Dottie was a devoted Catholic all her life and attended ST. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She loved gardening and was an accomplished artist. She is survived by three children, Andrew S. Clyde (Daphne) of Chester, SC; Robert Clyde (Carol) of East Meadow, NY and William Clyde (JoAnne) of Medford, NY; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one brother, Kelvin Albrecht (Marie) of Medford, NY; one sister, Evelyn Christensen (Lee) of Long Island, NY; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 57 years Andrew Clyde and two brothers, Marty Albrecht and Richie Albrecht.
