CHESTER Mrs. Dorothy Ann Roof Campbell, 79, died Monday, May 13, 2013 at her residence.The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, May 16, 2013 at the Second Baptist Church with Reverend Steve Bishop officiating.The interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Barron Funeral Home. Born April 20, 1934 in Chester County, SC, Mrs. Campbell was the daughter of the late Curtis C. and Sadie McWatters Roof.She graduated from Blackstock High School Class of 1951 as Salutatorian.She was retired from Springs Industries Springteen Plant as a weaver.She was amember of Second Baptist Church where she kept the nursery for many years. She is survived by her husband of over sixty years J.W. Campbell; one son, Buzzy Campbell and his wife Debbie of Rock Hill; one daughter, Robin Raines and her husband Bobby of Chester; two grandchildren, Jennifer Raines and Stephen Raines both of Chester and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregiver Mattie Burton and the staff of Hospice Care of South Carolina.
