Mrs. Dorothy Faye Hildreth “Midge” Byars, 80, died Sunday, January 11, 2015 at her residence.The funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at the First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. John Porter officiating and the interment will be in Chester Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Barron Funeral Home. Born November 11, 1934 in Chester, SC, Mrs. Byars was the daughter of the late Walter Lester Hildreth and Rosie Gaston McCorkle Hildreth.She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church where she assisted in worship with sign language. She is survived by her husband of over sixty-two years, Billy Sanders “Bill” Byars, Sr.; one son, Ronald Eugene Byars, Sr (Susan) of Chester; two daughters, Barbara Byars Roof (A.J., Jr.) of Chester and Lena Byars Dillingham of Chester; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; one sister, Loretta “Runt” McCarley (Hugh) of Chester and daughter-in-law, Diane Hudson Byars of Whiteville, NC.She was preceded in death by a son, Billy Sanders Byars, Jr. and two sisters, Doris Hildreth Stuart and Carol Hildreth Johnson.
