CHESTER, SC:Mrs. Dorothy Thomas Bailey, 86, died Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at her residence.The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Armenia United Methodist Church.The funeral service will be 3:30 PM Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Armenia United Methodist Church with Rev. Eric Shepard officiating.The interment will in the church cemetery. Born May 27, 1930 in Chester County, SC, Mrs. Bailey was a daughter of the late Leslie Walter Thomas and Annie Mae Lipford Thomas and the widow of Thomas Arthur Bailey, Jr.She attended the Chester High School and was retired from Springs Industries Eureaka Mill as an inspector.She was a member of Armenia United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Women’s Group and the ladies Sunday School Class.She was huge softball fan and any other sport that involved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by three children, Sandra B. Snipes (Tommy) and Thomas A. “Tommy” Bailey, III (Karen) both of Chester and Deborah B. Morrison (Tony) of Winnsboro, SC; seven grandchildren, Trey Morrison (Nicole), Matthew Morrison (Ashley), Paige Fougerousse (Justin), Erin B. Sealey (Jamie), Jenna B. Brown (David), Caitlan Lunsford (Tripp) and David Snipes (McKenzie); fourteen great grandchildren, M.J., Lilli, Marah, Beckett, Mason, Lyla, Lennon, Addy, Landon, Piper, Brantley, Camden, Tyra and T.K.; one sister, Patsy Snipes (Wayne) of Chester and numerous nieces and nephews.
