Lancaster Mrs. Doris Delia Grant Lindsay, 82, died Thursday, December 21, 2017, at Springs Memorial Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 23, 2017, at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Phillips officiating.Interment will follow in Chester Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC. Mrs. Lindsay was born April 21, 1935 in Chester, SC and was a daughter of the late Arthur Heyward Grant and Stuart Montgomery Grant.She was a graduate of Chester High School and attended Rock Hill School of Commerce.Mrs. Lindsay was a homemaker and was formerly employed with Carlisle Printing and Finishing.She was a member of The Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, Lancaster, SC, where she served on numerous committees. She is survived by two sons, David Michael Lindsay of Lancaster and Robert Scott Lindsay and his wife, Marcia, of Columbia; five grandchildren, Michael Grant Lindsay, Megan Elizabeth Lindsay, Matthew Charles Lindsay, Ashford Scott Lindsay and Grant Robert Lindsay; one sister, Bettie McDonald of Blackstock; and several nephews.Mrs. Lindsay was preceded in death by her husband of over 55 years, Robert “Bobby” Lindsay, Jr. Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation, 6110 Executive Blvd., Ste. 1010, Rockford, MD 20852 or to Epworth Children’s Home, 2900 Millwood Ave., Columbia, SC 29205.
