Doris Estes Greene

Mrs. Doris Estes Greene, 70, Chester died Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at her residence. The funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Together As One with Rev. David Sealy, Rev. Roger Roof and Rev. Geraldine Clawson officiating. Burial will be in Chester Memorial Gardens. Born February 13, 1938 in Chester County, SC, Mrs. Greene was the daughter of the late John Posey Estes and Carrie Gaston Estes. She attended the schools of Chester County and was retired from J.P. Stevens at Pineville, NC as cafeteria manager.She was a member of Together As One Church. Survivors are her husband, Boyd E. Greene; two sons, Richard W. Greene and Rev. Ronnie E. Greene both of Chester; three grandchildren, Rusty and Dwayne Greene both of Chester, SC whom she reared and Christian Greene of Chester;three grandchildren, Kayleb Perry, Kayla Lions and Leela Lions; one brother, Thomas Estes of Chester, SC; two sisters, Gertrude Robinson of Lancaster, SC and Marian Allison of Chester, SC.She was preceded in death by two brothers, John Estes and William Olin Estes and one sister Elizabeth Bernard. The family will receive friends from 6:00 ? 8:00 p.m. Friday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street, Chester, SC. Memorials may be made to, Together As One, 930 Skyline Drive, Chester, SC 29706.
