Doris Benson Beam Flenniken

Chester, SC: Doris Benson Beam Flenniken, 80, died Friday, November 3, 2017.A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday November 5, 2017 at Barron Funeral Home with Reverend Jay Dorsey and Reverend Michael Shaffer officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Barron Funeral Home. Interment will be private. Mrs. Flenniken was born in Chester, SC on March 6, 1937 and was a daughter of the late Miller Blease Benson and Virginia Mobley Benson. She was a graduate of Chester High School and was retired from Schlegel Manufacturing as Production Control Coordinator. Doris was a member of Blackstock First Baptist Church where she was a part of the Blackstock Senior Citizens. She was also a member of the Springs Golden Age Club. Mrs. Flenniken is survived by her son, Michael Beam (fiancé Rhonda); two grandchildren, Michele Beam Mullens (Jason) and Mitch Beam (Jerrica); four great- grandchildren, Chris Sean Caldwell, Donovan Bell, Lilly Grace Beam, and Tucker Beam; a brother, Richard Benson and a sister, Pat Ferrell all of Chester, SC. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Ellis Thomas Beam and her second husband, John Harvey Flenniken and her brother, Tony Benson.
