Blackstock Donna Gail Tucker Roof, 65, died Monday, March 20, 2023, at her home. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday March 24, 2023 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Bishop officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Friday March 24, 2023 at Barron Funeral Home. Donna was born June 26, 1957 in Augsburg, Germany and was a daughter of Geraldine Sellers Tucker and the late Charles Tucker. She was a graduate of Chester High School and Winthrop College. She was a retired teacher and Assistant Director with Ann Barrows Child Development Center. Donna was an avid gardener and loved music. She loved and adored her family, her parents, her daughter, and her grandchildren. They were all her “favorites”. She was crazy about her dogs, Axle and Izzy. Donna also enjoyed a good joke both telling and hearing them. She was a member of Blackstock First Baptist Church where she assisted with childcare in the nursery. In addition to her mother, she is survived by one daughter, Heather Means (Jeff) of York, SC; three granddaughters, Seven, Vedia and Bristol; one nephew, Elijah P. Tucker (Bailey) of Chester, SC; a great niece, Lynna Blythe Tucker of Chester, SC; an uncle and aunt, Tommy and Mary Martha Sellers of Pawleys Island, SC; cousins, Denise and Pam also of Pawleys Island, SC; and a sister-in-law, Lisa Kanipe (Ronnie) of Blackstock, SC. In addition to her father, Donna was preceded in death by her brother whom she dearly loved, Jerry L. Tucker.
