Donna Kaye Mccloud Murrell

Mrs. Donna Kaye McCloud Murrell, 71, died Sunday, December 1, 2024 at her home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Chester Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Barron Funeral Home.

Mrs. Murrell was born July 18, 1953 in York, SC and was the daughter of the late Harold L. McCloud and Mildred Davis McCloud. She was a graduate of Chester High School and was a retired dispatcher with the SC Highway Patrol after over fifteen years of service.  Donna loved cooking for her family and sharing her talent with them. She was also a crafter and enjoyed the talent of making things for others. Donna had a heart of gold and was full of spirit. She loved animals and especially her beloved cat “Charlie”.

She is survived by her husband of over 51 years, Danny Murrell; one daughter, Kara Denise Murrell of Chester, SC; one brother, Ronnie McCloud of Chester, SC; one sister, Linda Grantham (Rob) of York, SC and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Cynthia Gheen.
