Marlene Ramey Peeples

Chester Donna Marlene Ramey Peeples, 69, died Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Upstate Community Hospice House. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Chester Memorial Gardens with Rev. Michael Shaffer officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, May 10, at Barron Funeral home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC. Marlene was born March 28, 1954 in Chester, SC and was a daughter of the late William Charles and Frances Lathan Ramey. She was a graduate of the schools of Chester County and retired from Sediver in York as a shipping coordinator. Marlene enjoyed camping and fishing. She was an animal lover and adored her Shihtzu, “Spanky”. She is survived by two sons, Brian Lewis (Stacey) and David Peeples (Ryane) both of Chester; one daughter, Christie Lewis of Chester; four grandchildren, Tyler Beam, Bradley Beam, Hayley Lewis and Trevor Lewis; three great grandchildren; and Dottie Melton and Diann Baker whom she loved as her sisters. In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, Zeddie Mobley, a brother, Phillip Ramey.
