EDGEMOOR ? Mrs. Donna Marcell Ramsey Johnson, 69, of 1428 Ramsey Road died Monday, April 13, 2009, at her residence. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Lando Church of God, with the Rev. Edward Harris and Eric Winstead officiating. Interment will be private. Born March 10, 1940, in Chester County, S.C., Mrs. Johnson was a daughter of Temmer Ramsey and the late Dewey L. Ramsey. She was a graduate of Lewisville High School and attended College of Commerce in Rock Hill, S.C. She was a member of Lando Church of God, where she enjoyed being a part of the outreach ministry and she also enjoyed sewing. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 48 years, Lewis Johnson; one daughter, Tina Morton and her husband, Barry, of Edgemoor; one son, Johnny Johnson of Edgemoor; four grandchildren, Josh Morton of Columbia, S.C., Katy Morton of Edgemoor, Shon Johnson of Great Falls, S.C., and Monica Johnson of Catawba, S.C.; three sisters, Carol Parrish of Union, S.C., Anita Lyles of Hamlet, N.C., and Madge Jacobs of Columbia, S.C. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall. Memorials may be made to Hospice of S.C., 179 Columbia St., Chester,SC 29706.
