Taylorsville, NC?.Mrs. Donna Y. Friday, 71, of Taylorsville, N.C., formerly of Chester, SC died February 4, 2010, at Valley Nursing Center in Taylorsville, N.C. She was the widow of the late James L. Friday Sr Graveside services will be held Monday, February 8, 2010, at 2:00PM in Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Steve Bishop officiating. Mrs. Friday was born June 23, 1938, in Chester, S.C., a daughter of the late John Andrew and Edna Wint Youngblood. She was formerly employed with Smith Enterprises of Rock Hill, S.C. Surviving are one son Derrell K. Friday of Monroe N.C., one daughter Donna M. Friday of Taylorsville, N.C., seven grandchildren, two brothers Derrell Youngblood of Wilmington, N.C., Norman Youngblood of Chester, S.C., three sisters Helen McCorkle of Chester, S.C., Arnice McWaters of Chester, S.C., and Margie Banks of Blackstock, S.C. She was preceded in death by a son James L. Friday Jr. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service.
