Donald Roger Thomas, Jr., 61, died Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Piedmont Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Woodward Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Hinson officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the church. Interment will be private. Born January 11, 1963 in Rock Hill, SC, Roger was a son of the late Donald Roger Thomas, Sr. and Dorothy Humphries Thomas. He was a graduate of Chester High School and York Tech. Roger was employed with Schaeffler Group in Fort Mill as a maintenance mechanic. He was a member of Woodward Baptist Church. Roger loved his church and spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Gamecock fan. He is survived by his wife of over 11 years, Tammy Renae Roberts-Thomas; five children, Lauren Boatwright (Gary) of Fort Mill, SC, Chris Alexander (Bobbi) of Simpsonville, SC, Matt Alexander (Trina) of Lancaster, SC, Nic Alexander (Brandie) of Chester, SC and Phillip Alexander (Raina) of Lancaster, SC; and 11 grandchildren.
