CHESTER Mr. Donald Lee Miller, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at the Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC.The funeral will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at the First Free Will Baptist Church with the Revs. James Sanders,John Porter and Melvin Pressley officiating. Following the service, interment will be at Chester Memorial Gardens with military honors.The family will receive friends from 6:00 ? 8:00 PM Tuesday at Barron Funeral Home. Born November 11, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan, Mr. Miller was a son of the late Simeon and Sara Sellers Miller.He served four years active duty in the United States Air Force and retired with twenty-eight years service in the Air National Guard as a Chief Master Sergeant.He was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church, a life member of the VFW, a member of the Sandy River Masonic Lodge #207 and the Hill Top Cruisers Classic Car Club. He is survived by his wife of twenty-four years, Barbara Miller; two step-sons, Michael Burch and Chuck Burch both of Chester; one step-daughter, Debbie Milz of TN; one grandson, Aaron Milz of TN; one brother, Glen Miller of Florida and two sisters, Wilma Ferrell of Michigan and Nancy Miller of New York. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Simeon Miller and a sister, Sara Miller. Memorials may be made to the First Free Will Baptist Church,PO Box 1656, Chester, SC 29706.
