Donald Eugene East

Donald Eugene East, 73 died Thursday, January 23, 2026 . A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Word and Spirit Ministries in Chester, SC with Bishop David Levister officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the church.

Donald was born August 18, 1952 in Lancaster, SC and was the son of the late John East Jr. and Ruby Deese East. He attended the schools of Great Falls and retired after working at all three of the JP Stevens mills in Great Falls. He loved the Gamecocks. He attended Word and Spirit Ministers and also attended Tabernacle Ministers. 

He is survived by his daughter, Claire East of New Jersey; one brother, Michael East (Jane) of Chester, SC and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Gail.
