Derrick Scott "Scott" Love, born on September 29, 1967, passed away on January 2, 2025, in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Scott had a lifelong passion for assembling model cars and collecting miniature car replicas. He also enjoyed playing handheld games and found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Known for his love of people and his appreciation for tasty treats, Scott never met a stranger. He delighted in people-watching and embraced life with an open heart and a hopeful spirit. Throughout his life, Scott shared a special bond with his father, Kenneth Smith, who faithfully cared for him with unwavering devotion and love. Their relationship was a testament to the strength of family ties. Scott was a familiar face at his local corner store, where he enjoyed conversing with neighbors and passersby, leaving an impression on all who crossed his path. He is survived by his father, Kenneth Smith; his brother Patrick Smith of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina; as well as many loving cousins and friends who will remember him fondly. Scott will be deeply missed by all who knew him and were touched by his kindness and warmth. His eternal optimism and loving nature will remain a cherished memory to those whose lives he brightened.
