Chester Denise Diane “Mama D” DeMarmels, 43, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at her home.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 24, 2013, at First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. John Porter officiating.Interment will be private. The family will receive friends anytime at thehome of her daughter, Shawna Clark, 519 4th St., Chester, SC. Ms. DeMarmels was born June 23, 1969 in Fairbanks, Alaska and was a daughter of the late Peter DeMarmels and Karen Bennett DeMarmels.She attended the schools of Harpersville, NY and was a graduate of York Tech. She was formerly employed as a cashier with Spot Foods of Chester. She is survived by her companion of more than 22 years, George Schirmer; one daughter, Shawna L. Clark of Chester; three sons, Michael Schirmer and Joshua Schirmer of Chester and Timothy DeMarmels of Missouri; and one granddaughter, Ar’Riana Dunifer of Chester.
