Deborah Ann Parkins Melton

Mrs. Deborah Ann Parkins Melton, 68, died Sunday, November 13, 2022, at MUSC Health Lancaster. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at First Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Johnson and Rev. Melvin Pressley officiating. Interment will follow in Chester Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Wednesday at First Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Melton was born August 16, 1954 in Union, SC and was a daughter of the late Jack Charles Parkins and Lois Canupp Brank. She was a graduate of Chester High School and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church. Debbie was a well-loved and devoted sister. She enjoyed working in her yard with her flowers. Debbie is survived by her husband of over 46 years, Larry E. Melton, Sr.; one daughter, Shannon Melton-Fowler (Tony) of Carlisle, SC; a stepson, Larry E. Melton, Jr. of Chester, SC; three grandchildren, Hunter Penland, Brogan Fowler and Brylee Fowler; one sister, Neely Darline Parkins of Chester, SC; a niece, Trilby Grace of Hickory, NC; and a nephew, Judd Fairfax of Chester, SC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jackie Parkins and Darrell Parkins; and a nephew, Paul Fairfax. Memorials may be made to First Free Will Baptist Church, P.O.
