David Fred Lee Jr.

David Fred Lee, Jr., 75, died Sunday, November 17, 2024, at his home.  Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, November 22, 2024, at Wilksburg Baptist Church with Rev. Seth Johnson officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Friday.  Interment will be private.

Mr. Lee was born August 5, 1949 in Chester, SC and was a son of Ruth Hefner Lee and the late David Fred Lee, Sr.   He was a graduate of Ainsworth High School in Flint, MI and also York Tech with a degree in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.  Fred was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.  He was owner and operator of David Lee & Son Vending.  Fred was a member of Wilksburg Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and served on numerous committees.  He was an avid golfer and a huge SC Gamecock fan.  Fred was a family man who loved his family and they were the most important part of his life.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of over 49 years, Claudia Wade Lee; two daughters, Shawn Lee Stephenson (Kevin) and Courtney Lee Blanchett (Shane) both of Chester; grandchildren, Tori Beasley (Bailey) of Chester, Zack Brantley (Hannah) of Chester, Riley Parker of Chester, Luke Blanchett (Alayna) of Chester, Lexi Blanchett (Chris) of Chester and Taylor Nurwadi (Edward) of Fort Mill; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Diane Lee Wessinger and his nephew, Timothy A. Wessinger.
