David Wayne Dodds

Chester Mr. David Wayne Dodds, 68, died Thursday, January 28, 2021. Amemorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Parkway Baptist Church with Rev. Jay Dorsey officiating. Interment will be private. Mr. Dodds was born March 17, 1952 in Chester, SC and was a son of the late Claude Wylie Dodds and Barbara Jeanette Carpenter Allen. He attended Chester High School and was retired from West End Tire as a mechanic. Wayne enjoyed working with tires that were on tractors and tractor trailers. He was a good mechanic and he also enjoyed motorcycle riding and fishing. Mr. Dodds was a member of Parkway Baptist Church. He is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Zarko (Robert) of Edgemoor and Amber Davis (Kenny) of Chester; five grandchildren, Brealey Grant(Terry) of Edgemoor, SC, Matthew Davis (Cassie),Seth Davis(Sheridan)all of Chester, SC and , Devyn Elwell and Johnathon Zarko of Edgemoor; two grant-grandchildren, Aleenah Jade Frazier of Edgemoor and Chance Wilson of Chester; one brother Claude Monroe Dodds (Becky) of Blair; one sister Mary Jeanette Smith of Chester; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cayleigh Jordon Grant. Memorials may be made to Parkway Baptist Church, PO Box 1227,Chester, SC 29706.
