Chester Mr. David Byars Crosby, 64, died on Thursday, September 03, 2015, at his home.A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, September 5, 2015, at Parkway Baptist Church in Chester with Rev. Jay Dorsey officiating.Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Saturday, September 5th at Parkway Baptist Church. Born in Chester on September 22, 1950,Mr. Crosby was a son of the late Major Coleman Crosby and Frances Byars Crosby. Mr. Crosby was a graduate of Chester High School and served in the South Carolina National Guard.He retired after 43 years from Chester Telephone Company. Mr. Crosby was a member of Parkway Baptist Church formerly serving as a Deacon and Sunday School Director. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sandra Gregory Crosby; two sons, Michael Crosby (Kim) of Chester, SC and Greg Crosby of Chester, SC; and two grandchildren, Jacob Crosby and Lauren Crosby.
