Daphine Yvonne Ballard Mcabee

Chester, SC: Daphine Yvonne Ballard McAbee, 82, died Thursday January 20 ,2022 at her home. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday January 24, 2022 at Barron Funeral Home with Reverend Scott Vaughn officiating. The family will receive friends also Monday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 am at Barron Funeral Home. Burial will be held in Chester Memorial Gardens. Mrs. McAbee was born in Chester, SC on November 23, 1939 and was a daughter of the late Ernest Ballard and Marjorie Ernestine Kearney Ballard. She was a graduate of Chester High School and also Business School College of Commerce in Rock Hill, SC. Yvonne was retired from Springs Industries as a clerk. She was a member of Saluda Street Church of God. She loved camping, making crafts and playing Bingo. Yvonne was a loving wife, sister, mother , grandmother and great-grandmother In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-eight years, David Thomas McAbee,III and her grandson Scott Lee Jeanes She is survived by three daughters, Anita Jeanes (Dennis), Rhonda Smith (Gary) and Kimberly Starnes all of Chester, SC; eight grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren; her brother, Ernest Ballard (Debbie) of Charleston, SC, her sister, Cheryl Stepp of Chester, SC and several nieces and nephews.
