CHESTER Mr. Daniel Hoyt “Dan” Hendrix, 66, died peacefully Sunday, June 9, 2013 at his residence.The funeral service will be 12:00 Noon Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Arthur Vick officiating.The interment will be in Chester Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 12:00 Noon at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. Born March 29, 1947 in Newberry, SC, Dan was a son of the late Hoyt M. and Grace Bedenbaugh Hendrix.He was a graduate of Chester High School and attended Newberry College.He was veteran of the US Air Force during the Viet Nam War and retired from the SC Department of Probation and Parole as a probation agent.Dan was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church where he was a lay speaker and a Sunday School Teacher.He was a member of the Civitans, American Legion and the Sunday Morning Breakfast Club. He is survived by one brother, Jon Hendrix and his wife Carol of W. Columbia, SC; one niece, Katie Alexander and her husband John of Lexington, SC; two nephews, Jon Hendrix, Jr of Washington, DC and Jim Hendrix of Lexington, SC and numerous cousins.
