Dalton Albert

Chester: Mr. Dalton Edward Albert, Sr. 84, of 1811 Wellridge Road, died Friday, May 8, 2009 at his residence. The funeral will be held 2:00 PM Monday, May 11, 2009 at Parkway Baptist Church with Reverend Jay Dorsey officiating. A native of Glenville, GA, Mr. Albert was the son of the late Harry Albert and Georgia Sanders Albert. He attended the schools of Glenville, GA, was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during WW II and the Korean War and was the oldest member of Parkway Baptist Church. Mr. Albert was retired from Springs Industries. Surviving is his wife of 62 years, Lucille B. Albert, three sons, Donnie Albert, Ralph E. Albert and his wife Debra all of Chester, SC, Dalton Albert, Jr. and his wife Brandy of Blackstock, SC, two daughters, Linda Lathan and her husband Toby and Diane A. Blair and her husband Dick all of Chester, SC, twelve grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Ozie Grainger of Great falls, SC and Betty Cochran of Kershaw, SC.Mr. Albert was preceded in death by his youngest daughter, Cathy Farrow. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Sunday Evening at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street, Chester, Sc 29706.
