Chester Mrs. Cora Lee Johnson Goude, 84, died Thursday, October 14, 2021 at her home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Fountain of Life Church of God with Rev. Steven Goude officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Barron Funeral Home. Interment is private. Mrs. Goude born June 5, 1937 in Lancaster, SC and was a daughter of the late Rich Johnson and Letha Player Johnson. She was a high school graduate and a caregiver to those in need and loved her flowers and working in her flower bed.Mrs. Goude was a Sunday School teacher and led several ladies’ ministries. Her real love was ministering as a pastor’s wife. She is survived by two sons, Stephen Goude (Rose) of Newport, TN and Jeff Goude of Mesa, AZ; four grandchildren, Karen Rogers (Tim) of Newport, TN, Steven Goude (Jenifer), Michael Goude (Jessica) and Amber Goude all of Dallas, TX; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Sherman Johnson (Ruby) of Chester, SC; and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.Mrs. Goude was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Goude; her granddaughter, Samantha Goude ; one sister, Erlene Darby; and two brothers, Paul Johnson and DeLynn Johnson.
