SHARON: Mrs. Coleen McCarley Wylie, 74, died Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Wallace Thompson Hospital in Union, SC.The funeral service will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Pendleton officiating.The interment will be in Uriel Presbyterian Church Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 4:00 PM Saturday at Barron Funeral Home. Born June 28, 1939 in York County, SC, Mrs. Wylie was the daughter of the late Turner and Millie Knight McCarley.She was a graduate of the schools of Union County, SC and Spartanburg School of Cosmetology.She was retired from Springs Industries as a spinner and of the Baptist faith.Mrs. Wylie enjoyed spending her time with her family. She is survived by her husband of over forty-nine years Sid W. Wylie; one son, Ronnie C. Pierce of Union, SC; one grandson whom she raised Chris Pierce and his wife Dee of Fort Stewart, GA; one brother, John D. McCarley and his wife Margaret of Union, SC and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred M. Pendleton.
