Clyde Mckee

CHESTER ?Mr. Clyde McKee age 74, died Sunday, October 5, 2008 at his residence. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Rev. Clay Waldrip officiating. Interment will be at Chester Memorial Gardens. Mr. McKee was born January 17, 1934 in York County a son of the late Charles B. and Pearl Crimminger McKee. He attended Fort Mill, SC schools and was a U. S. Army and Navy veteran of the Korean war veteran. He was retired from Springs Industries.with 46 years of service. After his retirement from Springs, he was a Codes enforcement officer for Chester County. Survivors include his wife, Essie Taylor McKee, one son, Clyde D. ?Butch? McKee of Chester; one daughter, Lisa M. Barnes of Sharpsburg, NC; five grandchildren, Tiffany M. Snipes of Columbia, SC ,Chris McKee of York, SC, Andrea Whitley, Melissa Ezzell and Brad Hopper of Rocky Mount, NC; Three great grandchildren, Kaleb McKee of Chester, Taylor Johnson and Madi Whitley of Rocky Mount, NC. He was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street, Chester.
