Cloyed Harris "Harry" Gibson

Chester Mr. Cloyed Harris “Harry” Gibson, 72, died Sunday, January 10, 2021, at his home.A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 14, 2021, at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church cemetery with Rev. Philip Chandler and Rev. Roger Roof officiating.The family will received friends immediately following the service at the graveside and other times at the home of Phillip and Tracey Gibson on Richburg Rd., Great Falls, SC. Mr. Gibson was born November 9, 1948 in Richburg, SC and was a son of the late Cloyed R. Gibson and Janie Elizabeth Reid Gibson.He was a graduate of Lewisville High School and a former member of the SC Air National Guard.Mr. Gibson was retired from Springs Industries and was also employed with Chester County Recycle Center. Harry was a coach for Fast Pitch softball, taught line dancing and enjoyed singing.He was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. He is survived by two sons, Bradley Gibson (Mandy) and Phillip Gibson (Tracey) both of Great Falls; four grandchildren, Luke Spires, Cody Spires, Jackson Gibson and Callie Gibson; one brother, Roger Gibson of Chester; one sister, Mary Welch of Chester; and numerous nieces and nephews.Mr. Gibson was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Gibson and Ralph Gibson and a sister, Allee Duncan.
